And we know that people who, for example, work in professions where they are allowed to show what they’re really thinking or feeling. That often people who seem to be struggling the most, that people are most likely to judge as having no willpower, if you actually look at what’s happening in their brains, what’s happening in their bodies, and the resources they’re spending or the courage that they have, that they are exerting tremendous willpower and so I think that that’s another …. Get better sleep. Prioritize essential tasks that require the most amount of brain power first and then find room for the others. That was the missing link in all those other therapies: choosing to acknowledge her depressed thoughts, and then giving them over to God. So I did a book on willpower, a book on stress, and this next book is really about how to find mental health and happiness and community through the body and through physical action. Science specifically that will help people deal with challenges or reach their goals.
