Die Gitarren steigen auch sofort überzeugend in das Album ein, werden von der Stimme mitgenommen – und man ist sofort von dem originellen Intro „Ride on my bike“ eingenommen.Merkwürdige Einspielungen, Variationen im Gesang und kleine musikalische Besonderheiten – die sich über das ganze Album verteilen werden. Die Gitarren steigen auch sofort überzeugend in das Album ein, werden von der Stimme mitgenommen – und man ist sofort … Back when Purson disbanded in 2017, it was taken as unfortunate but not terrible news. Across songs such as Ride On My Bike, Fuck Love, Dethroning Of The Party Queen, Riddles and Games and the excellent, spellbinding finale of A Yarn From The Wheel, the album is an exotic earthquake, not a single building destroyed, no crack in the musical pavement to see.

Die Instrumentierung überzeugt, schöne Gitarren, die Songs sind fein durchkomponiert, ausgefeilt und man kann eine Mischung aus Singer/Songwriter-Habitus und poppigem Folk erwarten.Ein Album, das alles hätte, um zu überzeugen – es aber letztendlich doch nicht so richtig schafft.

Hörenswert, trotzdem schade. An enthralling album, Rosalie Cunningham has touched genius in this dramatic, pulse-driven recording. It is in the psychedelic that the vision appears, the hypnotised reality that is presented and the future opened up like a rare flower, blooming, creative with its appeal and one that gestures with heat, melancholic passion and longing, and yet one that is outstandingly unique.

With just a couple of listens piled up, Rosalie's (and Purson's) music cannot be mistaken for anything else, but can’t say anything right now about the album's replay value, need to hear it more.

From start to finish, Rosalie Cunningham’s debut solo album is a wonder, a seismic rumble from underground that threatens to take you out of your mind, but instead wraps you in a veil of calm and serenity. Rosalie Cunningham has produced a great album that covers the broadening spectrum that is the genre, more proof of music without boundaries. Saw them open for Ghost like five years ago and they rocked. Bad songs, the tempo switches are naff.
